Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) benchmark index gained 296.90 points, or 3.09 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 9,918.60 points.
Trading value during last week increased by 100.46 percent to reach QR851.68m compared to QR424.86m.
Trading volume increased by 210.05 percent to reach 324.29 million shares, as against 104.59 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 90.46 percent, to reach 31,220 transactions as compared to16,392 transactions.
Market cap rose by 3.62 percent to reach QR548.59bn as compared to QR529.41bn at the end of previous week, reports QNA.
Banking and financial services sector led traded value last week with 47.61 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 23.31 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 9.01 percent and Telecoms sector accounted 6.92 percent.
The Industrials sector led trading volume during last week with 34.02 percent of the total traded volume. Banks and Financial Services sector accounted 27.12 percent. The Real Estate sector accounted 19.38 percent, and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 22.6 percent.
Industries sector led traded number of transactions last week with 38.17 percent of the total number of transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted 27.22 percent. Real Estate sector accounted 10.53 percent and Telecom sector accounted 9.63 percent.
From the 46 listed companies 29 ended last week higher, while 14 fell and three remained unchanged.
QNB led trading value accounted for 26.31 percent of the total trading value.
